One of the most memorable trips we’ve taken since moving to the Middle East has been to beautiful Jordan with a group of great friends. Highlights of the 10 days were trekking and camping through the desert, a 3 hour camel ride through Wadi Rum, visiting historical Petra and ultimately just floating around in the Dead Sea.
If we were thoroughly exhausted by the time the trip was over, it was strictly because we didn’t stop moving the entire time we were there! We even had a quick sneak into Jerusalem for 2 days, which was an interesting experience to say the least – the atmosphere there is very hard to express. I can only think of describing it as feeling constantly on edge... We were quite relieved when we crossed back into Jordan. Overall, I loved Jordan – it was beautiful all around. As for Jerusalem? I was glad for the experience, but I doubt I’ll be heading back there anytime soon…
